A magical castle experience

Waking up in the Fitzgerald Suite was pure bliss, with champagne waiting for us. The staff made our anniversary celebration special with their attentiveness and warm hospitality.

The bathroom layout could be better. I struggled with limited space for our toiletries, a minor inconvenience in an otherwise perfect stay.

The units are gorgeous which by today's standards is an excellent touch. It has tranquil and incredible location next to a fantastic castle.

The room is a bit shabby.

Everything was good during 1 day, really enjoyed its stunning and fantastic location right by both the castle and golf club and pub. The staff was nice, excellent service. The vibe here was unique. Had a great time.

Dining at Hermione was a highlight, offering superb dishes and really good service from the staff. Our room had modern amenities and was well-appointed for a comfortable stay.

The hotel was a fantastic base for enjoying a nice enough area, just next door to the 1180 restaurant as well as a 12 century castle beatifully restored. The location was lovely for our holiday. They gave a classic room with the bedroom, an excellent touch, view of the walled gardens as we booked

It was just a fine choice for an overnight stay with great value-to-price ratio. The room wasnice and neat. Make sure to check the reception staff for directions, as it can be a bit confusing.

great experience but minor room quirks

Every staff member was attentive and friendly. The restaurant's ambiance and the brie cheese appetizer were highlights. I also enjoyed the fine garden view from my classic carriage room.

Couples treat worth every penny

The food at the club house was amazing, my partner and I ordered the special and it blew our taste buds away. The service in the restaurant was great! John, the waiter, was such a gem, he made sure we got the best table, sharing stories, made the vibe even better.

It wasn't exactly a bargain, but honestly, I'd say it was totally worth it given the experience.

Our honeymoon at the castle surpassed all expectations. The fine medieval decor, combined with an comfortable classic carriage room. The highlight was the good breakfast with fresh pastries served in the majestic dining room.

Kilkea Castle has such a beautiful setting. I loved my Superior Carriage Room. It was spacious and comfortable. The castle grounds are picturesque, perfect for a stroll. Dinner in Hermiones Restaurant was excellent, thanks to John's attentive service. The thermal suite was lovely too, but that €30 fee per person felt a bit steep for hotel guests. The bathroom faucet was tricky to operate, annoying. They should really tell guests at check-in about the horse riding being 35 minutes away. I wish there were more options for light bites in the bar area too. More snacks would've been nice. It was relaxing and had a cozy atmosphere, but a bit more information and some extra convenience would enhance the experience.

The castle is a beautiful historic venue, and the superior carriage room was so comfortable. They remembered my name and were super helpful. Enjoying dinner at the 1180 restaurant was a highlight, as was the lovely thermal suite that included a revitalizing facial.
